Markus Penz, Arlberg Ski Guide / Austria
30 years of experience as mountain guide, 30 winter and summer in the mountains, approx. 900 weeks and ca. 4500 days of skiing, hiking or climbing.
ALWAYS ON THE WAY. As a active full-time professional mountain guide I have spent the past 30 years continuously in the mountains, in any weather, in the Alps and in Nepal, India, Canada and Alaska, in both summer and winter.
That means lots of experience, good knowledge of the areas and especially the routine with a variety of guests tours or classes to perform. To create that special experience in the mountains with great moments of happiness and success is my constant endeavor and also my vocation.

A lot of altitude up and down.
For 30 years, I work in the Arlberg ski resort as a mountain guide skiing with guests off piste, showing them the most beautiful powder snow runs and make them their ski holiday to a natural experience, but also to a sporting challenge.
A true Tyrolean.
Im was born in 1963 in Zams and raised in Imst / Tyrol. Certified as a mountaing guide in 1985 I was one of the youngest mountain guides in Tyrol. Since 1987 I am also a ski instructor. In 1986 I worked as a heliskiing guide in Canada. After that I worked as mountaing guide for the Austrian Alpine Association, later 23 years for the Summit Club of the German Alpine Association. Since 2012 I work independent and self-employed.
